Over 200 seven-foot American flags will be displayed at 3 locations to honor our heroes.

Ceremony

Important Update: Change of Location & Time

We are honored to partner with Clay County Government for their 25th Anniversary Commemoration of 9/11.

The Flags for Heroes ceremony has moved to the Board of County Commissioners Administration Building (4th Floor, BCC Meeting Room) and will now run 8:00–8:46 AM.

After the ceremony, attendees are invited to participate in a ceremonial walk to Spring Park, where Clay County Firefighters and the Sheriff’s Office will host a 9/11 vigil and read the names of fallen first responders.

FAQ

• Can anyone be honored? Certainly.
• What if my hero doesn’t live in Orange Park? Heroes and sponsors can reside anywhere.
• Can I sponsor a deceased hero? Yes, it would be our honor.
• Flag size? 7–8 feet
• Do I get a coin? Heroes being honored will receive a commemorative coin. Some business sponsorships receive additional coins.  
• When will I receive the coin(s)? You may pick it up at the ceremony or it will be mailed afterward.
• Do I keep the flag? No, flags are for display only.
• Can anyone attend the ceremony? Absolutely!
