The Wounded Warrior Project provides life-changing support to veterans and service members. The Carry Forward 5K challenges participants to carry a flag, weight, or person—symbolizing the burdens our warriors face daily.

Meet Our Squad

Led by Duane Mallicoat, our squad includes passionate advocates like Gordon Reynolds and Brianna Butcher. Gordon shares:

“When we rally together for injured veterans, we help ensure warriors with traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and physical injuries get the help they need—free of charge.”

Duane adds:

“We are proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project and honor the sacrifices of our brave men and women in uniform.”

Last Year’s Impact

In 2024, the Jacksonville Carry Forward 5K welcomed 1,909 participants and raised $223,313 through community and corporate support.
